A man has been arrested after he allegedly spit in the face of a Hispanic woman, then tried to run her down with his bike. An OC pool company is in hot water after two male supervisors repeatedly harassed female employees, according to the OC Register. The supervisors at Aqua Tri reportedly groped, verbally harassed and pressured at least eight women, all Latina, for dates and sex. They even went so far as to offer them promotions that hinged on the women sleeping with them. more ›

A year and a half ago, the Latina Dance Project brought their latest dance theater production to the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles. The four members of the company presented a picture of the world as seen through the eyes of highly accomplished dance artists/educators whose cultural backgrounds reach to Mexico, Brazil and the southwest USA. Perhaps opening some theatergoers’ eyes in the process, their work aptly dramatized or abstracted this not-too-often-seen-on-a-stage perspective of life in the pre-Obama USA. more ›
