People needing medical care came out in droves this morning to be seen by doctors, dentists and other health care professionals at a free clinic set up at the LA Sports Arena. The clinic was organized by a local nonprofit called CareNow, and an estimated 1,200 people were among the first there, reports the Huffington Post.

Electric Daisy Returning to Coliseum?
Los Angeles Coliseum commissioners will decide today if they will issue a permit for the Electric Daisy Carnival to return to the venue this June, according to ABC. The event was discontinued after 15-year-old Sasha Rodriguez collapsed from an ecstasy overdose at last year's event and died days later at a local hospital. Her death resulted in a moratorium on raves for several months, but the rave ban was lifted last November. The Electric Daisy Carnival is not the only recent rave that has come under intense scrutiny. Last month, USC president C.L. Max Nikias warned students about the dangers of ecstasy at raves after 17 people were taken to the hospital after a near-campus New Year's Eve rave. Thirty-five people were arrested after the Monster Massive rave on Halloween.
At Least 35 People Arrested at Last Night's Monster Massive Rave
At least 35 people were arrested last night during the course of the 13th Annual Halloween Monster Massive, a rave and live music event held at the L.A. Sports Arena, reports ABC7.

Even though I've got the video of 'Pogo' linked above, I don't think that track is representational of the album. 'Pogo' is much more rock oriented...

Daft Punk @ LA Sports Arena, 7/21/07
Daft Punk last performed in Los Angeles proper in 1997 in support of their now classic debut album Homework at the club Pink. I was ill that evening and couldn't make the show, although my next door neighbor at the time went and raved about how awesome the show was for the following several weeks. When Daft Punk played at Coachella in 2006, southern California fans were treated to, by all accounts, one of...
