There's some good news and/or bad news in the world of Los Angeles-based tattoo artist and eyebrow-raiser Kat Von D, however which category applies in either case is up to you.
First, when it comes to her work life, Von D has one less gig on her agenda, after TLC announced they are ending her series "L.A. Ink" this season. The finale will air September 15th.

Celebrate Creative Women At The Pink Parlour Festival
Evade both church and sloth this Sunday, March 27, and head to the historic Santa Anita Race Track in Arcadia for The Third Annual Pink Parlour Festival. A full day (11am-7pm) where "crafty women of the world unite," the festival showcases handmade products created by women. Approximately 150 participants are expected, including handmade crafters, small businesses catering to the handmade scene, visual artists, performing artists and more. According to the LA Times, about 1 in 4 TVs were tuned to "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" when President Barack Obama made an appearance last week. Leno has had higher ratings only 3 other times in the past, but the media space is a lot more crowded than it was even 4 years ago, so it was a stellar night for NBC.

What can we say? The Playboy mansion loves LAist. After a highly amusing bout at Spike TV's Guy's Choice Awards afterparty, we were invited back to check out the 3rd annual Marijuana Policy Project fundraiser. With Perry Farrel of Jane's Addiction at the turntables and celebrities swarming the grounds, hundreds flocked to the Mansion with the sole intention to raise awareness about the importance of marijuana legalization. Well that, and obviously to flirt with this year's playmates.
