Ghostface Killah The Big Doe Rehab Def Jam December 4, 2007 "No time...there's never any time," cried a caffeine pill crazed Jesse Spano in that very special episode of "Saved by the Bell." Ghostface Killah laughs at you and your complaints, Spano. While you can't find the time to balance a geometry midterm, getting into Stanford and covering Pointer Sister tunes, Pretty Toney is having no trouble finding time to spit sick verses on 8......

LAX JFK via Virgin Airlines began today. Are you flexing it? A stage 1 power emergency has been declared. If there are any superfluous lights on, turn 'em off. Get Flex Alerts via e-mail at www.fypower.org. Richard Jewel, the man cleared of the 1996 Olympic bombing, passed away today. A Word or 56+/-: Even the movie selections suck tonight unless you want to watch an Ida Lupinow filmfest on TCM, which I really don't want to do. A Word or 54 (or so): I know that there are some folks who are happy to be getting a few new episodes of the doomed Studio 60 - enjoy it while you can. Funny how there is no cohesive letter-writing campaign to save that one, at least not a campaign that is getting any press. Tonight - Thursday - June 7th, 2007 Dodgers @ Padres (KCAL, 7:00 p.m.) Pirate Master (CBS, 8:00 p.m.)......

Portland’s disco-punk duo Glass Candy graced L.A.’s presence twice this past weekend. On Friday night, Johnny Jewel and Ida No played to a sardine-packed crowd of teenagers at Echo Park’s Tribal Cafe, a juice and coffee bar that clears out part of its floor for bands. Everybody danced and yelled out requests and put the band in a chipper mood. On Sunday night Glass Candy played Part Time Punks at the Echo, this time......

Anya Marina is a chick we’d like to hang out with. Not only is she an awesome singer (kind of a cross between Jewel and Liz Phair), she’s funny, doesn’t take herself too seriously and is totally cute. The singer/songwriter performed Wednesday night at Hotel Café. The crowd was small but engaged, and appreciative of Marina’s sweet and folksy vocals. What was really refreshing about the show was Marina’s quirky sense of humor and......

Every Almost every morning we bust with the "Star Spangled Banner" for your hard-working asses. We think it's nice that you now get to put your hand over your heart and sing along with the national anthem every morning there at your desk. Last night Ellen told a little joke on the Oscars that if you wanted to accept an award on a big show like that that you should lie and say you......

Everyone’s favorite game of public humiliation is back! American Idol kicked off a new season from Minnesota last night, with thousands cheering, millions watching, and an odd use of Teenage Wasteland in the opening montage. As expected, Season 6 began with a self-congratulatory flashback/recap/where-are-they-now session for the previous winners and also-rans, as well as a self-masturbatory highlight reel of the A-List talent that has giddily participated in this bizarre hazing ritual of fame seekers.......

Who knew that Paris Hilton was so multidimensional? First, she acts, then sings...and now she's a game developer? Paris made a brief appearance yesterday at E3, promoting her cell phone game, "Paris Hilton's Jewel Jam," due out later this summer. She signed with Gameloft to produce a series with the hieress. Unfortunately, according to an AP story, Paris got the name of her game mixed up and called it "Diamondquest" during the big announcement.......

We know there is real news going on like Gov. Schwarzeneggar's less than pleasant visit to Santa Monica College yesterday and that we're going to have another special election in the fall. There are also those pesky memos that keep showing up in British newspapers but we can't be bothered with such matters when Napster2Go has delivered their "He Beat It - Michael Jackson Gets Off" playlist. How can we be concerned with politics......
