Tortoise General Store on Abbot Kinney in Venice was opened by husband and wife Keiko and Taku Shinomoto at the end of October 2003, after they moved to Los Angeles from Tokyo. Royal/T in Culver City is hosting its first public program, Tokyo Tremors. This lecture and discussion with UCLA Professor, Adrian Favell will be on June 11 at 7:00 p.m. (more info below photo gallery) Favell will present a guide to four new waves of Japanese contemporary art.
