No trip to Vancouver is complete (for us, at least) without hitting the Spot. The White Spot, that is. This longtime B.C. landmark chain serves up the best burgers in the West, complete with their signature "Triple-O" sauce. Our lunch selection was the Legendary Platter, which features their famous burger, a generous mound of bottomless fries (although there's never room for a second helping!), their tasty coleslaw, and we added a thick chocolate shake to round out the experience (and, we know, we know, our waistline--can't we have some fun?). Although my dining companions were able to wax nostalgic about the White Spot of yesteryear, we can see how they've grown with the times, and managed to stay an extremely successful chain since Nat Bailey opened the first drive-in location in 1928.
