USC sprinter Bryshon Nellum, dubbed "the fastest kid in the world," was shot three times in his legs while attending a Halloween party last night near the campus at Leonardo's. The 19-year-old was hit in the left thigh with two bullets and once in his right hamstring, according to abc7.com, and underwent an ultimately successful surgery last night and California Hospital Medical Center near downtown Los Angeles. Saturday night's huge LACMA Halloween party sold out so quickly I had to buy my tickets on Ebay. Even then, 40 bucks a ticket for an entire night of drinking, hors d' ouvres, DJs, and entry into the Dali exhibition sounded too good to be true.
