Whether you're hosting a gathering or drinking alone (we won't judge) for tomorrow evening's live Emmy telecast, you can drink exactly what the attendees will be sipping at the Governor's Ball after the last statuette is handed out.

Dinner Will Pair Grey Goose Vodka with Checkers Downtown's Food
What goes well with vodka? You might say "anything!" but there is, of course, an art to both mixing cocktails and pairing them with food. A dinner hosted by Grey Goose held at Checkers Downtown at the Hilton Checkers tomorrow night will give guests an opportunity to experience a five-course menu executed by Checkers Downtown's new Chef de Cuisine, Dave Baker, paired with Grey Goose.
How to Eat and Drink Like You've Just Won an Emmy
Anyone pretty much the world over can turn on their television on Sunday September 20th and watch the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. And even though Los Angeles is a company town, not everyone has a ticket to the show, which means once the show is over, only those on the guest list will get to head over to the Governor's Ball. The Emmy folks (that's the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, to be precise) have been busy planning this massive affair, and gave members of the media a sneak peak at the design and food and drink that will be enjoyed by the ball's attendees come Emmy night in L.A.
The Cocktail that Dares Not Speak its Name
The Edendale Grill may fall in and out of favor, but its bar has never wavered as a solid local watering hole.
Pencil This In: Thursday
ART: Downtown’s Art Walk happens the second Thursday of each month. The Art walk is a monthly, self-guided tour of the art exhibition venues in Downtown Los Angeles, which includes commercial art galleries, public museums, and nonprofit arts venues. Museum of Contemporary Art on Grand Ave (MOCA), Los Angeles Public Library Grey Goose, LA Artcore Center are just some of the places on the Walk.
Andy Milonakis, Comedian
Andy Milonakis jumped into public consciousness after making some freestyle rap videos on the web, which led to him appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and then getting his own MTV program. Andy's come full circle and is currently at work on a full length rap album, but despite all he's accomplished so far he remains hard on himself for not doing more. Milonakis finds inspiration in his roommate, a newcomer to the industry who managed to make his very own film using only his wits and initiative, which stands in sharp contrast with the desperate amateurs that ask Andy to help pitch their pilots or read their scripts. In this LAist Q and A, Andy discusses the phoniness he despises, his return to online shorts with My Damn Channel , and his plans for touring the country by bus.
Downtown Art Walk Tonight
You have four more hours to get yourself downtown to take a peek at what some of LA's best art galleries are currently offering. On the second Thursday of every month from noon to 9pm, museums, galleries, and nonprofit art venues participate in the Downtown Art Walk, staying open late for those who might not get a chance to stop by during the weekdays. What better way to take the edge off the workweek than with some wine, cheese, and pretty pictures?
