Tonight Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Cat Power will be performing at the Avalon with Foreign Born side project Fool's Gold in tow. San Franciscan singer-songwriter Miranda Lee Richards is poised to grace the stage at Spaceland. Heavy crooner Mark Lanegan and Greg Dulli will be playing the Troubadour, presumably under the Twilight Singers moniker. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Echo to catch local pop rock outfit the Parson Red Heads. LA's own indie rockers the French Semester and Light FM will be kicking off the show.

Cam’Ron Killa Season (Diplomatic Man) – He’s straight-up gangsta. In the last two years he’s hunted internet pedophiles, gotten shot and beefed with Jay-Z. Some critics complain that the beats on this album sound too much like the last one, but most agree that his lyrics make it an enjoyable listen. He’s even got a song about his battle with irritable bowel syndrome.
Blackberry Belles
One of LA's favorite sons will be in town tonight, performing at the El Rey despite the rain. If you're a fan of the Afghan Whigs and haven't yet heard Greg Dulli's new band, show up at 8:00 PM to see The Twilight Singers with Dirty Little Secret and Up the Dose.
