8 Oz Burger Bar Not Renovating, Is Closed for Good
Govind Armstrong's 8 Oz Burger Bar was usually pretty packed, served up a pretty good burger (and a killer Shortrib Grilled Cheese) along with very slurp-able boozy shakes and a curious (if not completely palatable) Bacon Bloody Mary. After an abrupt March shuttering for a purported "renovation," Eater LA updates diners that 8 Oz is actually closed for good. Or, in their words: "Very Much DONE DONE DONE."
Top Chef Masters Season Two: L.A. Represent!
Bravo's "Top Chef Masters" has scored some serious talent this season with more representation from Los Angeles. 22 world-renowned chefs, six of whom are returning from last season, are set to compete to benefit their favorite charities. The lineup includes hometown heroes Susan Feniger of Street, Govind Armstrong of 8 oz Burger Bar, Ludo Lefebvre of LudoBites and Mark Peel of Campanile.
