emocratic gubernatorial candidate-hopeful Jerry Brown threw down the gauntlet, calling for a three-way debate between himself and rival Republican candidate hopefuls Meg Whitman and Steve Poizner.
Today, in a statement released by "Team Poizner," Communication Director Jarrod Agen responded in the affirmative, adding some zingy adjectives for the opposition:

Come November, voters will have the chance to cast their ballot in favor or opposition of legalizing and taxing marijuana in the state of California. But if you want to also vote for a gubernatorial candidate who will say yes to making pot a cash crop in our struggling state, it's slim pickings.
Meg Whitman Raised $21 Million for Her Campaign this Year
But $20 million of that was given to her gubernatorial campaign out of her own personal bank account, Meg Whitman's campaign announced this morning after campaign records for the first 2 1/2 months of the year were filed last night. In all, the former eBay CEO spent $27.2 million in that same period--$25 million of that went to TV, radio and other direct marketing--with some of the money coming from last year, when she gave $19 million to the campaign. She's prepared to spend a total of $150 million, she has said.
SF Mayor & Gov Hopeful Newsom in LA for 'Conversation' Tonight
As part of his campaign to win the Governor's job in 2010, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom will make a stop tonight in Woodland Hills to hold what he's calling one of his "conversations about California's future," at Taft High School, according to the Daily News.
