The average price of gas in Los Angeles is now $3.976, according to AAA. And this chart above from LosAngelesGasPrices.com has it even lower at around $3.96 for yesterday. The California average price is currently slightly lower at $3.993 and nationally, it is $3.702.......

California Shuttle Bus, a self-proclaimed "upscale" transport connecting Los Angeles and the Bay Area, has announced a new $5 service for those of us who would like to get from LA to SF without the hassle of high gas prices and expensive airfares. The new prices take effect beginning next Monday; the shuttle company is also offering expanded hours and pick-up/drop-off services for certain Westside neighborhoods. Now here's something par for the course: President Bush blames congress for the high price of gas. On the business side of things, Mark Lacter notes that "Royal Dutch Shell and BP both reported record first-quarter numbers, beating analysts’ expectations.
