Tonight Maine-bred folk singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne will be continuing a three-night stint at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown with LAist favorite, Illinois-based alternative country singer-songwriter Lissie. As mentioned previously, South Carolina-by-way-of-Seattle folk rockers Band of Horses are poised to headline the Avalon with none other than local indie rock outfit Sea Wolf (LAist Interview, Review, #2, #3), as well as a bevy of of other great musicians, to benefit the Pablove Foundation. And, lastly, Swedish indie rockers Peter Bjorn and John (LAist Review, #2) will be taking on Club Nokia in Downtown. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Henry Fonda Music Box to catch St. Albans-based dance pop outfit Friendly Fires (LAist Review). LAist favorites, acclaimed British indie rock outfit the XX are slated to kick things off.

The Swell Season, an indie folk duo formed by Irish musician Glen Hansard and Czech singer and pianist Markéta Irglová, are poised to grace the Wiltern with Idaho's own pop folk singer-songwriter Josh Ritter in tow. St. Albans-based dance pop outfit Friendly Fires (LAist Review) will be headlining the Henry Fonda Music Box with none other than acclaimed British indie rock outfit the XX. And, lastly, London-based electro-infused rock duo the Big Pink will be performing at the El Rey Theatre with Long Beach natives Crystal Antlers (LAist Review) and LA-bred goth/dance-infused rock duo IO Echo.

Tonight St. Albans-based dance pop outfit Friendly Fires (LAist Review) will be performing for a sold-out crowd at the El Rey Theatre. Santa Cruz-bred new folk guitarist Ben Chasny, who performs under the pseudonym Six Organs of Admittance, will be taking on the Echo with Horse Thieves. And, lastly, Silver Lake-based psych rockers Lower Heaven will be continuing their month-long residency at the Silver Lake Lounge. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch LAist favorites Local Natives (LAist Interview), who will invariably be conquering the penultimate night of their month-long residency. Local indie rockers the Flying Tourbillon Orchestra (LAist Review, #2) and the Parson Red Heads (LAist Review, #2, #3) will be performing as well.

Tonight St. Albans-based dance pop outfit Friendly Fires (LAist Review) will be performing for a sold-out crowd at the Troubadour with Hockey in tow. LAist favorites the Henry Clay People (LAist Review, #2, #3, #4) are poised to take on Spaceland with the Broken West (LAist Review). Local afro-centric pop rockers Fool's Gold will be gracing the Echo as a party of a stellar bill that includes Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, as well as Glasser. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Center for the Arts in Eagle Rock to catch Oregonian singer-songwriter Richard Swift. San Franciscan folk rockers Vetiver are slated to headline.

This week Denver-bred Grammy Award-winning neo soul singer India.Arie will be gracing Club Nokia in Downtown. St. Albans-based dance-pop outfit Friendly Fires (LAist Review) are poised to perform to a sold-out crowd at the Troubadour. Brooklyn's crown jewel TV on the Radio (LAist Review) will be headlining the Glass House in Pomona. And, lastly, English indie rockers Bloc Party (LAist Review) will be taking on the Hollywood Palladium with LAist favorites Menomena (LAist Review) in tow.

Tonight English pop rock sensation Keane will be stopping through the Largo at the Coronet. Topanga Canyon folk rockers the Weepies are slated to headline the Hotel Café. And, lastly, St. Albans' own electro pop outfit Friendly Fires will be rocking out at Spaceland. But we suggest heading over to the Troubadour to catch Little Joy. Fab Moretti of the Strokes? Immaculately crafted pop rock gems? Count us in.

Tonight LA will pause for the election. However, dj/producer Diplo and LA rockers Abe Vigoda will be playing at the Echoplex. Dead Ponies will be playing at Spaceland for free! HoneyHoney (LAist Review, #2) will be performing at the Hotel Café. And, lastly, St. Albans own electro-pop sensation Friendly Fires will be gracing Cinespace in Hollyweird. But we suggest you take the night off to vote and watch the results of the election.

It's the first Monday of the month and thus we've got a bevy of new Monday Night Residencies. Local indie rockers the Western States Motel will be kicking things off at Spaceland. And WEAVE! will be embarking on their month-long residency at the Echo. Fresh off the heels of a record release party, LA-based the Monolators will grace the hole-and-corner Pehrspace. Delaware-based pop rock maestros the Spinto Band will be performing at the Echoplex with Scottish indie rockers Frightened Rabbit and one of our favorite local bands, Miniature Tigers (LAist Review). Lastly, Vancouver's own Mother Mother will be showcasing their disjointed yet entirely appealing tunes at the Silver Lake Lounge. But the lineup at the El Rey Theatre tonight is downright irresistible. Swedish songstress Lykke Li (LAist Review, #2) will be accompanied by not only SoCal mainstays the Mae Shi (LAist Interview, Review, #2) and Grand Ole Party (LAist Review, #2, #3), but also St. Albans own electro-pop act Friendly Fires (LAist Review).
