You know it's a slow week at the DVD counter when a low-brow flick like Sex Drive is the highest profile release. Didn't see it, but read on Ain't It Cool that it was pretty funny. And apparently there are tons of naked chicks in it (link NSFW). Might be worth a rental. Breaking Bad, on the other hand, is definitely worth a rental. His years of doing straight comedy (click it!) have obscured the fact that Bryan Cranston is a damn fine actor. Think Noah Wyle is regretting leaving ER a little bit? I mean, another The Librarian movie? Seriously?

Sir Paul McCartney will pay a visit to Comedy Central's "The Colber(t) Repor(t)" tonight - we're wondering if Colber(t) will succeed in performing a song with yet another famous musician. Whereas a minor film like succeeds magnificently at the much trickier challenge of using adolescents--and even children--to convey the realmless and redemptive power of unconditional love. Furthermore, it shares with the audience one of the great luxuries of cinema; it draws you into a strange, new world that you never even imagined existed. It is nothing less than a rich marvel.
