Tonight In Rock: Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros, The Watkins Family Hour, Pink Mountaintops, White Arrows

Tonight the famed Watkins Family Hour (LAist Review) will be taking place at Largo at the Coronet. Vancouver-bred psych-infused rock outfit Pink Mountaintops are poised to take on the Echo with equally heady locals Xu Xu Fang (LAist Review, #2, #3). And, lastly, LA-based indie rockers White Arrows will be performing at the Silver Lake Lounge. But we strongly suggest doing whatever it takes to get into the El Rey Theatre to catch local indie rock buzz band Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros' (LAist Review). LAist favorites the LA Ladies Choir and Frank Fairfield are slated to kick things off.

Tonight In Rock: Saint Motel, Olin & The Moon, The Icarus Line, Frank Fairfield

Tonight local indie rock outfit Saint Motel (LAist Interview) will be continuing their month-long residency at Spaceland with none other than Austin's own the Black and White Years and Hollywood-bred duo Divisible. The unnecessarily abrasive Buddyhead-backed rock act known as the Icarus Line is poised to take on the Silver Lake Lounge. Local folk singer-songwriter Frank Fairfield will be performing at the Redwood Bar & Grill in Downtown. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Echo to catch alt-country troubadour Leslie and the Badgers. LAist favorites Olin & the Moon (LAist Interview) are slated to kick things off.

Tonight Grammy Award-winning Brazilian artist Sergio Mendes will be performing at Club Nokia in Downtown. LA-based punk rockers the Melvins are concluding a two-night stint at the Troubadour. Oakland's own abstract hip hop sextet Subtle will be stopping through the Knitting Factory with Zach Hill of Hella. And, lastly, English singer-songwriter Holly Golightly is slated to share the stage at Spaceland with Frank Fairfield. But we recommend heading over to the Henry Fonda Music Box to see French electronic group M83. School of Seven Bells, a relatively newfangled Brooklyn-based group formed by Benjamin Curtis of Secret Machines, will be opening.
