Fountains of Wayne played a tight, if not under appreciated, set week last week to a trickling-in crowd who at least knew the words to Radiation Vibe. Chris Collingwood and the boys humbly played the part of the opening act and Squeeze fan. “Enjoy the show!” they shouted, as if one had not just taken place. With a synthy and sexy Take Me I’m Yours, Squeeze emerged with some new players and some old......

British pop new-wavers, Squeeze, have (mostly) reunited and they feel so good. Did you know that Molly Ringwald had a Squeeze poster in her Sixteen Candles room? Did you know that the dreamy blonde lifeguard who worked with me at summer camp had a copy of 45’s and Under in his car. Did you know I can play Yankee Doodle on a ukulele? A Word or 4 dozen : Somehow I totally missed posting that the Shield was on last night and again it was good. I think one would be hard-pressed to find more raw and compelling performances on any other show available on the networks or basic cable. Yesterday we told you how to see 14 pretty good bands this Friday at Coachella, so now let's do Saturday using the Coachooser. Sadly even though the middle day has our most anticipated act, The Arcade Fire, it has the fewest amount of bands that we want to see, a paltry 15. Nine of them are playing between 2:30 and 5:30, and five of those are all playing at the same time! While we......

New Music Tuesday has matzofied, seder’d out and re-opened for business on this fine Thursday eve. Please use caution while perusing the list -- these brand-spankin’, ultra-smokin’, bootie-shakin’, earth-movin’, mind-blowin’ new releases might just melt your face off. Especially the Hip Hop Tribute To Bon Jovi. Phenomenal. Well, theoretically phenomenal. You understand. Jarvis Cocker - Jarvis (Rough Trade) Mother Hips - Kiss the Crystal Flake (Mega Force) Brandi Carlile - Story (Sony) The Field......
