Full Funding for 11 Miles of Gold Line Extension Approved, Groundbreaking in June

    

Funding for the first phase of the Gold Line Foothill Extension was approved this morning by the Metro Board of Directors, setting in motion work that will allow for a June groundbreaking. Today's vote moved $690 million, raised from the voter-approved Measure R sales tax, to the coffers of the Gold Line Construction Authority, which will build 11.3 miles of light rail track, extending the line from Pasadena to Azusa, generally along the 210 freeway. more ›
