Restaurant Workers Would Have to get Food Safety Training under Bill Approved by State Senate
Restaurant workers in California may soon be required to be trained and certified in proper food handling. What?! They weren't already trained and certified in that? Apparently not.
Now a bill, which passed out of the State Senate today and headed to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for his approval, seeks to address that issue.
Egg Recall Expanded; Over Half-Billion Eggs Affected
A second Iowa-based company has initiated a recall of 170 million of their eggs that may be tainted, according to an AP Report. "The eggs recalled Friday were distributed under the brand names Hillandale Farms, Sunny Farms, Sunny Meadow, Wholesome Farms and West Creek. The new recall applies to eggs sold between April and August." These eggs were sold in California, among other states.
