Disneyland's Submarines Set Sail Once Again Since opening in 1959, Disneyland's Submarine Voyage attraction operated continuously until 1998 when the park suddenly shut it down. Rumors of the ride's return circulated for years until Disneyland announced the classic water-born attraction would set sail again as the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.
