LA Boxing Pro Challenges Chris Brown to a 'Real' Fight

Young R&B star Chris Brown says the media has the story all wrong, but it still seems as if a part of the tale is that he roughed up fellow singer and (ex?) girlfriend Rihanna and then turned himself in just before the pair were due to be at Staples Center for the Grammys.

Dodgers Versus Angels: Bar Fight Ends With Stabbing

Most bar fights should, by rights, involve women and their jealous boyfriends, or the old "Tastes great/Less filling" debate. Of course, tension between bar patrons is often brought on by sports rivalries, and at J's Cocktail Lounge in Fullerton, this was no exception.

A fight that broke out between opponents and proponents of Prop 8, the November 4th ballot initiative that sought to ban gay marriage in California, ended with two people apparently being sent to the hospital. Leah Murphy of Westwood said she was walking with a group of ten friends at Thursday's protest outside the Mormon Temple on Santa Monica Blvd. when two women who were said to have come from within church grounds began to call them derogatory names.

Tucked secretly away amongst residential condos and too-snug street parking sits The Schindler House, a small artistic enclave that is part of the larger Mak Center. The unobtrusive works of modern beauty blend seamlessly with the grass and garden that occupy a worthy portion of the smallish plot. Police were called to the 14th floor of Long Beach's city hall last week when what appears to be a verbal incident occurred between a couple and a staff member, according to the Long Beach Press-Telegram. Both in the midst of filing for divorce, Councilwoman Suja Lowenthal and her husband, Superior Court Judge Daniel Lowenthal, got into an argument and a council staff person was reportedly involved. And if the family matters could not get anymore entangled, Judge Lowenthal was only visiting City Hall to visit his mother, Councilwoman and Vice Mayor Bonnie Lowenthal.

New footage has been released of one of the weekend's brawls at Paradise Cove in Malibu, this one shot by a mother who was there with her son. This particular scene proves some of the beach goers were acting just as bad as the paparazzi.

Two brawls between surfers and paparazzi over the weekend are leading Malibu officials to look more closely into the law regarding 1st amendment rights. "The city of Malibu will do all it legally can to protect and preserve the natural beauty and tranquillity of our town," Malibu Mayor Pamela Conley Ulich said in a statement, per the LA Times.

"The Lakers just stunk. They trailed by as much as 24 points in the fourth quarter but managed to get within four points in the final seconds of the game," said LAist Sports Editor Jimmy Bramlett in LAst Night's Action.
