Lots of people in Los Angeles crave privacy. Many of them are people who have chosen to make careers out of living life in the public eye, and then decide that actually, being in the public eye sucks (yes, I'm looking at you, famouses). Well, now we can add to that list one Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who has won the right to break zoning laws and go against the wishes of the very constituents he serves by building fence around his Windsor Square residence.

"Papa can you hear me? I'm a hall of famer!" In a ceremony held yesterday in Sacramento, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and first lady Maria Shriver presided over the induction of four new famous folk into the California Hall of Fame. Joining the iconic songstress/actor/director in receiving the honor were Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, director James Cameron, and tennis star Serena Williams. "The California Hall of Fame was established in 2006 to honor people who've made their mark on the state's history," explains ABC7.
Judge Denies Cupcake Lawsuit, Sprinkles to Try Again
Good news for the best cupcake storefront in town: a federal judge yesterday dismissed Beverly Hills' Sprinkles trademark infringement case against Famous Cupcakes in Valley Village "citing problems with Sprinkles' court filing," according to CBS2. Famous uses a dot within a circle design on their packaging and website, but Sprinkles says the have a copyright for that and uses the design on their own cupcakes. But this is not the end of it: "attorneys from Sprinkles said they plan to refile the motion after making the required corrections."

Let's face it. Ever since Sprinkles Cupcakes in Beverly Hills first filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Famous Cupcakes in Valley Village over the use of a modern circle, people had to give the competitor a try. What happened? Business went up for the Valley Village storefront, according to employees, as many cupcake fans discovered they liked Famous better (us included).
