Local indie rockers West Indian Girl are poised to grace the Hotel Café. And, lastly, Portland-by-way-of-Los Angeles boy/girl duo Magic Johnson will be taking on the Smell in Downtown. But we strongly suggest doing whatever it takes to get into the Hollywood Bowl to catch British electronic duo the Chemical Brothers. LAist favorites, Québécois electro-funk duo Chromeo and Portland's own experimental electronic duo YACHT are slated to kick things off.

Tonight legendary English new wave/post-punk act the Psychedelic Furs will be headlining the Wiltern. LA's own rock and roots singer-songwriter Dave Alvin is poised to head a spectacular bill of local acts at the Echo to benefit the Musicares Nashville Flood Relief Fund. And, lastly, local retro 60s soul act Fitz and the Tantrums, who recently inked a deal with Dangerbird Records, will be concluding their month-long residency at Spaceland. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Bootleg Theater to catch local indie folk sextet Family of the Year. Fullerton-bred indie rock quintet the Steelwells are slated to kick things off.
