It shouldn't be a surprise that a new show by Evidence Room is excellent, considering the group's history. The Evidence Room's Last-Days-Of-Summer Reading
Still no word on the future of Bart DeLorenzo's Evidence Room company, but an email on the sadly quiet company mailing list this week recommends two "ER-related offerings": actress Pamela Gordon's poignant last film, The Dogwalker, premiering tonight at the Laemmle Music Hall, and a new novel, The Glass Books Of The Dream Eaters, by ER playwright Gordon Dahlquist (Delirium Palace (2001), Messalina (2003)).

Need some last minute Saturday night plans? Are you the one who would try anything, go anywhere – or maybe just wish you were? Get thee to the Evidence Room for tonight’s final performance of Ken Roht’s Route 99 Orange Star Dinner Theater. This performance has been extended a few times, but there’s no telling if it will be again. Try this on for size – everything in the performance, from the food to the costumes and props are from the 99cent Store. Yes, we’re serious. Laist was at the performance last night and with out giving too much away, let’s just say the food ranged from Spam maki rolls to cheesecake faux-oreos. Wine and other beverages are on a donation basis. The show with dinner is $30 and without is $20.
