#15 Chivas Midfielder Jesse Marsch threw out a hard kick at Beckham's lower regions in response to a slight shove at the 45:00 minute mark of the LA Galaxy Chivas USA rivalry game tonight at the Home Depot Center. The kick came almost from behind Beckham, sending him crashing to the field in what would have been a Galaxy scoring opportunity. Beckham immediately gets up on his feet and exclaims "What the fuck, man?!" Withholding......

We hate him just like you do, but Barry Bonds just tied Hank Aaron's career home run record of 755. Bonds went opposite field off a hanging curve from San Diego Padres pitcher Clay Hensley. The game in currently still on at blogtime, which is 9:10pm. If you have cable or satellite and can get ESPN2, the game is tied, 2-2 in the 6th down there at Petco Park. Bonds is still in the......

A Word or 100+: Ooops, I missed the Tonys, malhereusement. If there's a pick tonight, other than arena football, then it's the US version of Creature Comforts on CBS at 8:00 p.m. (from the creator of Wallace and Gromit). I love the UK version but my kids have a hard time with the various British accents and some of the various topics - I know it's a lot to ask for but I'm hoping......

A Word or 51: So last night it was either Klaus Kinski or American Idol - they're both abject and base pornography but Kinski won. Get home early today to check out the Winter X Games; other than some The Office reruns the CW seems to have the most new programming but that's not saying much. Tonight - Thursday - January 25th, 2007 The Caddy (TCM, 5:00 p.m.) Classic Jerry Lewis & Dean Martin......

Had enough Anthony Pellicano stories yet? The LA Times hasn't. Once again the bug-happy private investigator leads the California section. A quick search of the LAT site comes up with 22 hits for "Pellicano" and just 4 for NSA. Is eavesdropping on Sly Stallone that much more important than the feds domestic wiretapping scandal? Bad news for Clear Channel employees (other than the fact they they've been working for one of the more evil......

As most people expected, the Lakers hired Joel Meyers to be their new television play-by-play announcer. LAist can't help but be happy for the guy. Few sports announcers have paid their dues like Joel Meyers. This guy seems to show up everywhere. Listening to the NFL playoffs on the radio? There's Joel Meyers. Watching the Padres-Cubs go to 12 innings at midnight on ESPN2? There's Joel Meyers. Wake up to watch Kansas-Iowa State Big......
