LAPD Chief Awarded as Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. What?!?!

In the past LAPD Chief William Bratton was rumored to be a top candidate to take over Scotland Yard. He denied that and he's still here serving Los Angeles today. However, today Her Majesty awarded him with the honorary title Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his work to promote cooperation between the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) police, both before and during his service with LAPD.

Last Wednesday, San Diego-based Tristan Prettyman (MySpace) and local Jesca Hoop (MySpace) anchored a solid night of female singer-songwriters at Hotel Cafe (MySpace) in Hollywood that included openers Lucy Schwartz (MySpace) and Annie Bethancourt (MySpace).

Or its quite possible that its only funny if you're high. Either way, give it a look and tell us what you think....

The Simpsons Movie global-dominance-marketing-crusade marks another notch in the bedpost of ruffled feathers. Who knew that Pagans had no sense of humor? I would have guessed the symbol superstars to be down with the whole why don’t we "Do It In The Donut” message of pastry love. This promotional, biodegradable, painting was unleashed on a hillside near the very old and very naked fertility carving in Southern England. Doh! Eight days and counting... AP...

Is he here yet? Is he here yet? YES! Finally, David Beckham is in LA and gearing up for his first game. But will he be able to produce more magic like this shot against Greece?...
