Last week during several days learning about the arabica coffee and fresh sugar cane used to make the classic Mexican liqueur Kahlua, we stopped to tour the palace in Chapultepec park and try some tacos al pastor. The trip aimed to ensure that our experience in Mexico City helped us understand the culture and history of the country. We arrived with a list from our friend Bill Esparza of Street Gourmet LA and were soon assured by the locals that joined our group that in fact he had recommended some of the best tacos in the city. The time had come to start tasting some of the local fare.
