Last Tuesday, LA-Underground co-presented a show with KCRW at the Bootleg Theater, featuring Kentucky-based Daniel Martin Moore as well as beloved locals Eleni Mandell, Inara George (The Bird and the Bee), and Ferraby Lionheart.

GOOD Magazine is examining transportation issues at tonight’s “Transit and The Community” panel discussion and interactive workshop at the GOOD space on Melrose at 7 pm. Top planners, transportation designers and public officials will be in attendance to discuss how to transform LA's transit infrastructure. Attendees will then be invited to join in an interactive workshop to help articulate transportation and land use ideas. On the panel: John Chase, West Hollywood Urban Designer; Simon Pastucha, LA Design Studio; James Rojas, METRO planner; Michael Lejeune, creative Director Metro Design Studio; Mike Feuer, California Assemblyman, 42nd District; Ming Fung, Graduate Director SCI-Arc; and moderator Alissa Walker. Tonight Brooklyn's crown jewel TV on the Radio (LAist Review) will be headlining the Glass House in Pomona. Moldy Peaches front woman Kimya Dawson is poised to headline the Troubadour. And, lastly, local chanteuse Eleni Mandell will be gracing the relatively newfangled Grammy Museum in Downtown. But we strongly suggest heading over to Largo at the Coronet's Little Room to catch Lavender Diamond front woman Becky Stark.

Tonight legendary Mexican-American singer-songwriter Joan Baez will be performing at UCLA's Royce Hall. The famed Watkins Family Hour is slated to take place at Largo at the Coronet. And, lastly, Raleigh's own indie pop outfit the Annuals will be headlining the Troubadour. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Echo to catch LA-based singer-songwriter Eleni Mandell. LAist favorites Whispertown 2000 (LAist Interview, Review, #2) are poised to kick off the show.

Tonight Grammy-nominated English soul singer Adele will be headlining a sold-out show at the Wiltern. Glasgow's own indie rockers Franz Ferdinand are slated to perform at Amoeba Records early on in the evening. LA-based singer-songwriter Eleni Mandell will be gracing the stage at the Hotel Café with the equally buzzworthy "one-woman band" Theresa Andersson (LAist Interview, Review). And, lastly, English rapper Lady Sovereign is set to flow at the Echo. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Largo at the Coronet to catch producer/musician extraordinaire Jon Brion (LAist Review).

              

Last month, the singer-songwriter supergroup trio The Living Sisters (MySpace), comprised of The Bird and the Bee (MySpace)'s Inara George (MySpace), Eleni Mandell (MySpace), and Lavender Diamond (MySpace)'s Becky Stark, performed at the 35th Annual Topanga Days Festival (MySpace).

But tonight is their first-ever headlining gig in Los Angeles, with The Finches and Winter Flowers at Safari Sam's.
