Today we are all supposed to be thankful, so that's exactly what I am going to do, right now, in enumerated fashion, just for you.
Gobble Gobble!
How much is a legend worth?
Maybe you should think about buying a ticket to the Second Annual Hullaballo benefitting the Silverlake Conservatory of Music. The benefit, at the Edendale Grill on June 21, promises to be a swank eastside evening. Rob Zabrecky, who led Possum Dixon and is a magician, will be MC. There will be a dinner buffet, open bar and, of course, live music. Expect performances from the conservatory, Catherine & Jonathan Karoly from the LA Phil and unnanounced guests. The headlining act is Flea (from the Red Hot Chili Peppers), who is the conservatory's founder, performing with Patti Smith — who, with her Lower East Side credentials, is the east-sider-est of all.

Checking Out Local Libraries
The Los Angeles General Services Department's efforts to unload a couple libraries at auction further proves that nothing is sacred in this hot real estate market. The former Durant Branch on Gardner in Hollywood and the erstwhile location of the Westchester Branch on Sepulveda Eastway are going on the block next month. Minimum bidding on each starts at $1,000,000.
