The case of missing Glendale woman Nancy Salas has taken a turn Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz of the Glendale police calls "sideways," according to LA Now. The 22-year-old, missing since she left for a routine jog yesterday morning, has been deceiving friends and family for the past two years, who thought she was preparing to graduate from UCLA this month and pursue a Masters at an East Coast school. Salas, however, has not been enrolled at UCLA since 2008. Lorenz is hesitant to over-interpret the twist in the plot: “There’s obviously a deception. I don’t want to go so far as to call it a double life.”
