Love it or hate it, tonight's New Year's Eve. And while half of the city has vacated for NYE's in Vegas, there's plenty to do right here in LA to welcome '08.

Ring in the New Year with MF Doom
Besides having the same middle name, Wagstaff, Dick Clark and MF Doom do not have a whole lot in common. This year, however, both will be the main attraction at New Year's Eve festivities. While I lied about MF Doom's middle name being Wagstaff (that really is Clark's middle name), I am not lying when I tell you that the masked man will be headlining the Deep Urban Breaks' New Year's celebration. TV Junkie: New Years Eve Broadcasts
So if you don't feel like driving that hour+ to some party in the Valley, or to some party anywhere in Los Angeles, you can always turn on the TV. There's nothing like watching the 3-hour tape-delayed disco ball drop to reaffirm your existence. Tomorrow - Sunday - New Years Eve "Twilight Zone Marathon" (SciFi, ALL DAY) "Seinfeld Marathon" (TBS, ALL DAY) "Marx Brothers Marathon" (TCM, starting at 5:15 p.m.) (other marathons include "Ace...

Not that any ball drops here in Los Angeles and it frustrates us to no end that we don't have a signature New Year's celebration. That said, hopefully you're better prepared for the dawning of 2005 than we are. Those last minute invitations to join someone on their private jet to South Beach or Vegas to ring in the New Year just aren't rolling in like we'd hoped.
A Different Stroke
It was announced today that Dick Clark, legendary host and pioneer of "American Bandstand" and a bunch of other shows you probably could care less about, suffered a stroke earlier this week and was recovering in a Los Angeles hospital.
