Seafood. Eat It: Delphine Debuts New Menu
You remember the joke about the "See Food" Diet, right? As in, when you see food, you eat it. Apologies if this brings back school cafeteria memories of your friend opening wide to show you their chewed up mouthful; the pun is irresistible. At Delphine, the restaurant at the W Hotel & Residences in Hollywood, a newly revamped menu of bistro fare has, thankfully, held on to the best of the previous menu, where the standouts are the seafood. Seafood. Eat it.

With slogans like "Love it. Live it" and "Own the Wow" the homes at the W offer the living large lifestyle. Today marks the official opening day for The Residences at W Hollywood. For most, that means decorators and contractors can start getting these tony flats ready for their hard partying owners.

LAist catches Executive Chef Sascha Lyon in the kitchen at Delphine in the new W Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard. Lyon comes to LA with a pedigree, previously of Balthazar, Pastis and his own New York restaurant, Sascha. He brings with him bold flavors from the Mediterranean, specifically the South of France.

When the W Hollywood Hotel & Residences opened last week at the famous Hollywood and Vine intersection, so did its main restaurant, Delphine, run by chef Sascha Lyon. Although we've heard the breakfast on day one was just "okay," a whole three Yelp reviews are all saying good things and LA Weekly's Jonathan Gold today wrote about his experience there, also noting a trend in new restaurants.
The W Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood Opens Today
After years of construction that has changed the face of the famous Hollywood and Vine corner, W Hollywood Hotel & Residences finally opens to the public today, meaning more local jobs--about 600 in total--servicing the 305 large studio’s and one bedroom hotel suites, 143 luxury residences and other amenities such as food, drink and spa.
