Phil Jackson, Wednesday - "If I've offended any horses, Texans, cowboys or gays, I apologize." Bills Goes All the Way

Bills Goes All the Way

Chad Billingsley was just what the doctor ordered for the Dodgers Monday night. With the Dodgers bullpen so exhausted they’ve started using Prozac as a reliever, the Dodgers needed Bills to go deep in the game against the Houston Astros. In his last three starts he had not gone longer than six innings with 90 pitches. In fact his last game he went five innings on 113 pitches. So the fact he pitched a... more ›

LAst Night's Action: On Second Thought

Dodgers 10, Houston 2 - Los Angeles has been consistently inconsistent since the All Star break, and didn't show true dominance until going on the road. Chad Billingsly improved to 7-0 with a complete game, and even held the Astros scoreless until the final out. The Dodgers also looked good at the plate, with 3 RBIs from both Luis Gonzalez and James Loney. Jeff Kent (who scored on a wild pitch) had four hits before... more ›

LAst Night's Action: Lakers Stuffed

After beating the NBA's best and loosing to the worst in the past few nights, they were defensively dominated by a team missing their star center. Nomar's Home Now

Nomar's Home Now

Nomar Garciaparra made his Dodger debut this past weekend against the Diamondbacks of Arizona. He did well... not getting hurt for one thing, but also proceeding to show the bat we all knew he had. Going 2-4 with a double and nearly hitting one out. Well Nomar took it a step further last night hitting a pivotal grand slam against Houston Astros closer Brad Lidge to help give the Dodgers the 6-2 victory. The victory was made especially sweet in that they were able to overcome a ridiculous performance by Astros starter Andy Pettite. more ›

First Fridays: Remixed

First Fridays: Remixed

While a few scenesters and industry folk ventured out into the city last night for some post new year's revelry at the house that Justin Timberlake built, Chi, we don't expect that many are going to brave the heavy rain and lightning storms this evening unless they are going to The Grove or the Arclight to finally catch The Life Aquatic or Million Dollar Baby or sneaking into their local multiplex in disguise to catch the horrible White Noise. more ›
