Well, this video captures what happens when that kid (sort of) grows up and has a meltdown during finals week in the CSUN library.

CSUN Parking: $125. Street Parking: Priceless.
"Who in their right mind would pay 125.00/semester to spend hours stalking/fighting for parking spaces when you could arrive 15 minutes early, easily park a few blocks away, and walk?" ~ San Fernando Valley Yelp Review of the Day by Erin H. from the blog News Me Baby.

Police are also still looking for other people who may have been victims of this crime ring.
Sunday Photoist: Inside UCLA Radio
Every so often when we feel so inspired to do so, we feature a photo from a photographer in the LAist Flickr Pool. It's another way of giving the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention that they deserve. Everyone knows Santa Monica College has a radio station (KCRW 89.9). And CSUN (KCSN 88.5) and CSULB (KJAZZ 88.1) too. Even Pasadena City College (KPCC 89.3) and USC (KUSC 91.5) have theirs. Where is UCLA's?...

The Neighborhood Project: Northridge
Northridge has become famous for Cal State University Northridge, and infamous for the Northridge quake. In reality, the earthquake's epicenter was beneath Reseda. Although the San Fernando Valley is very particular about each neighborhood's boundaries, the history of one area sometimes bleeds over into the next. It would be easy to paint the Valley with a single brush. But that would be a gross oversimplification. What makes Northridge stand out from its neighbors? Its...

At a late-night screening at Cal State Northridge Thursday, Alicia Estrada, assistant professor of Latin American Studies at CSUN, pressed Mr. Mel Gibson on what she felt was an inaccurate portrayal of Mayan culture in his latest bloody flick, Apocalypto. She reportedly wondered...
KCSN 88.5 FM: The Best Classical Station Is Still Here
KCSN 88.5 FM, the radio station run out of California State University, Northridge (CSUN), is actually not classical station 24/7 like K-Mozart was or KUSC is. The Valley based station runs classical from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. surrounded by BBC Radio in the early mornings and an eclectic mix of music including folk, roots, musicals, blues and Hawaiian at night and on the weekends. KZMT always felt a bit stodgy and KUSC feels...
