Tonight In Rock: Joanna Newsom, Wolf Parade, Chatham County Line, Crooked Cowboy

Tonight critically acclaimed Québécois indie rockers Wolf Parade will be taking on the Wiltern with Phoenix-based goth-infused electro act Zola Jesus in celebration of their third tour de force, 2010's Expo 86. Chatham County Line, a Raleigh-bred bluegrass quartet ("all brilliant pickers," as my uncle put it), are poised to head the Roots Roadhouse Festival at the Echoplex. And, lastly, Highland Park's own deep crooner Crooked Cowboy will be gracing Spaceland. But we strongly suggest doing whatever it takes to get into the Orpheum Theatre to catch the illustrious and ethereal Nevada City-bred harpist/folk singer-songwriter Joanna Newsom, who recently released her third studio-album, an illustrious triple album entitled Have One on Me. more ›
