Spanish football powerhouse Real Madrid traveled to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to face off against the Los Angeles Galaxy in an international friendly as part of the 2011 World Football Challenge. The La Liga giants dominated the top MLS team winning 4-1 with a stunning goal from superstar Cristiano Ronaldo just after halftime.

Area Soccer Players Get Royal Treatment
Young soccer players of both genders got the opportunity of a lifetime yesterday afternoon at UCLA by taking part in a scrimmage with players from storied soccer club Real Madrid. The 20 lucky participants earned their right to play alongside the Spanish giants by winning the Southern California Real Madrid 7 v 7 Challenge, hosted by adidas.
