"All in for the 99%" has sent out a city-wide call for Angelenos to come out this Saturday to pose for an aerial photo shoot of our local 99% en masse. The shoot is part of an all-day "All in for the 99%" public art exhibition to raise awareness about the issues surrounding the 99% movement.

California's Courage Campaign has singled out one of the world's most loved and hated celebrities for her corpulent salary of $12 million - Miss Kim Kardashian.
In "Tell Kim Kardashian to Endorse the Millionaires Tax of 2012," Courage Campaign shows how "Kim Kardashian made more than $12 million in 2010, but she only paid 1% more in taxes than a middle-class Californian," says the campaign site.

Moby, The Crystal Method and Shepard Fairey headline tonight's Dance For Equality at Avalon. The MoveOn.org / Courage Campaign fundraiser benefits continued efforts to overturn Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in California after being approved by a majority of voters in 2008.

Rick Jacobs, Chair of the Courage Campaign, accompanied by Reverend Eric Lee, President of the Southern Christian Leadership Council of California, held a press conference outside the Los Angeles Mormon Temple this week. They attempted to peacefully deliver a petition with nearly 17,000 names of Californians opposed to the Mormon Church's funding and tactics in support of Proposition 8. They simply asked that the LA Mormon Church pass on these petitions to Utah. This video literally captures the runaround that the church gave them, and in the end, they were denied an opportunity to talk to a representative of the church or to even deliver the signature-laden pieces of cardboard.
