Coroner: Haim Died of Natural Causes, Not Drug Overdose

The Los Angeles Coroner's Office released their report on the death of actor Corey Haim, and have determined the troubled onetime child star died of natural causes. LAist Film Calendar: Warning!!! Pedophile, Dr. Horrible & Plenty of Creeps

LAist Film Calendar: Warning!!! Pedophile, Dr. Horrible & Plenty of Creeps

It's easy to write off Warning!!! Pedophile Released sight unseen as cheap exploitation. Besides all those exclamation marks in the title, there's the convenient release on the heels of Roman Polansky's high-profile arrest for child-rape, an appearance by porn star Joanna Angel & a lead actor coming off of Silent Night, Zombie Night and (ahem) Vaginal Holocaust. Never mind the accompanying Dakota Fanning vehicle Father Xmas (at one point rumored to be Fanning's own child-rape film Hounddog). But the film's trailer tells a different story, of disturbed teens, real tragedy & raw emotion that's more Larry Clark than Larry Cohen. Make up your own mind, and then fawn or fight with the cast and crew at the evening showings. more ›

The Two Coreys - A Beautiful Trainwreck

Having been excited for months for the new A&E series “The Two Coreys” like the good little fan I am, I tuned in, turned off my cell phone, and completely focused on my two childhood crushes/inspirations last Sunday night. There probably is not any other person in the world rooting for a Corey comeback as much as myself and this new series was what I believed to be just the beginning. I must admit with incredible sadness and regret that I was disappointed....mostly for them. more ›

Who is YOUR favorite Corey?

Who is YOUR favorite Corey?

Yesterday, as I was perusing my usual celebrity gossip websites in hopes of avoiding any productive work, I came across a blurb that stopped me dead in my tracks. Sure, I’ve heard the rumors, but here it was in writing, in actual print. I know gossip sites aren’t the most reliable sources, but just go with me here. It is true. The Coreys are going to be starring in a new show together -- and by “The Coreys”, I am of course referring to Corey Feldman and Corey Haim, the eighties teen icons and dreamboats and whom I believe and have ALWAYS believed were the most underrated actors of their generation. My heart skipped a beat as my memories of my Coreys came flooding back. more ›
