Time to get your appetites for Korean BBQ fired up, as this Saturday, August 6, is the day for the 3rd Annual Korean BBQ Cook-off in Koreatown.
Several of the city's best restaurants and food trucks will be on hand serving up their KBBQ dishes for attendees who can buy the different plates of grub priced from $5-$15.

It's not too late to get in on the sizzling action in K-Town today as part of the 2nd annual Korean BBQ Cook-Off. Showcasing some of the city's top Korean BBQ eateries, the event has free admission, lots to see and do, and of course tons to eat.
Korean BBQ Festival & Cook-Off Coming in August
K-Town is getting its own food festival early next month and it looks like it could become a staple of LA's summer festival scene. How could grilled and smoked meats with magical flavors not be a hit? Details are slowly coming out for the event, set for August 8th, but here's what we know: Jonathan Gold and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa are confirmed to be cook-off judges. Confirmed restaurants include Beverly Soon Tofu, Byul Dae Po (Star BBQ), Ham Ji Park, Mu Dae Po, Park's BBQ, Seoul Jung, So Hyang, Soowon Galbi. There will be a food eating contest
Top Chef's CJ and Antonia Cook at The Grove
Fans of Bravo's highly successful reality program "Top Chef" were in for quite the treat last Thursday evening, when two contestants from previous seasons, CJ and Antonia, participated in a friendly cook-off at The Grove. The event was sponsored by the Sherry Council of America, and featured sherry tastings and gourmet bites from a few of The Grove's top restaurants.
