The music, not the food. If you are interested in learning how to dance or perhaps you already know and just want to get out there to show off your moves in a quaint, relaxed environment, head down to Zen Lounge in Hermosa Beach. Beginners class starts at 7:30 PM, while more advanced dancers can join the 8:30 PM class. Once you've got some moves down, hang out from 9:30 PM onwards to get some practice out on the dance floor. $10 gets you into Zen and in the class. Tonight is Hawaiian Salsa Night so don't be surprised if you see some grass skirts or flowered shirts about the place.

On Saturday March 28th, the six-time Grammy winner will be performing three shows in one night at L.A. Live's three music venues. Prince, who will be releasing three new albums on March 29th exclusively at Target and on his Web site, Lotusflow3r.com will be doing full length sets at The Nokia Theatre, The Conga Room, and Club Nokia.

Tonight is the calm before the NYE storm. French Rumba Flamenca outfit the Gipsy Kings are slated to headline the newly renovated Conga Room (LAist Review). Atlanta-based R&B singer-songwriter Akon will be performing at Club Nokia in Downtown. And speaking of Downtown, a slew of punk-inflected bands are poised to rock the Smell. But we strongly suggest that you head over to the Echoplex to catch local alt-rockers Dawes. Get there early and get in for free!
