This afternoon, the LAPD released a composite sketch of the suspect who is wanted for the attempted murder of LAUSD police officer Jeffrey Stenroos, who was shot outside the campus of El Camino Real High School yesterday. Despite a 9-hour lockdown and dragnet in the Woodland Hills area of the school, the suspect remains at large.

Police Seek Would-Be Chinatown Kidnapping Suspect
An 11-year-old boy was the victim of an attempted kidnapping in Chinatown on December 14th, and thanks to his quick thinking and good memory, the LAPD have released a composite sketch of the suspect. The boy was accosted near a popular youth sports and recreation park on Yale Street. He pulled away after the suspect grabbed him, and was able to fight him off. The LAPD say their suspect "is Black with a small growth of beard under his chin, and was wearing do-rag on his head," and was dirty; he could be living on the street in the area. "The suspect is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, about 135 pounds, and in his late twenties to early thirties."
Subjects Sought in Santa Monica Murder Case
Santa Monica Police released composite sketches of three subjects wanted for questioning today stemming from a May homicide in the Pico neighborhood. Preston Brumfield, 48, was found lying on the sidewalk unconscious a few houses from his residence on May 11 after being shot and possibly beaten with a baseball bat. He was taken to the hospital where he died four days later, marking the city's third homicide of the year. The three men were seen in the area and are wanted for questioning.
