LAst Night's Action: Dodgers' Gem in the Bay

LAst Night's Action: Dodgers' Gem in the Bay

To offset the embarrassment going on concurrently in Delaware, the Dodgers and Giants sent their best to the mound for a matinee performance. With a Clayton Kershaw and Tim Lincecum pitched affair, it really came as no surprise the game would be a 1-0 hemorrhoid-inducing tight walk. more ›

LAst Night's Action: USC Squeaks Past Virginia

USC Trojans defeat Virginia Cavaliers 17-14. USC got real lucky in this game. Virginia shot themselves in the foot the whole game, but particularly in the first half when a missed field goal and an endzone interception could have given them a 10-0 lead. But the Trojans hung on to their two touchdowns in the final four minutes of the first half while adding a field goal in the fourth quarter to get their second win of the game. more ›

Red-and-White Clobber Columbus Crew

Chivas USA forward Justin Braun continues to do everything he can to live up to his unofficial nickname of Braunaldinho, and last night’s match against the visiting Columbus Crew was no exception. Along with scoring his 7th goal of the year at the 37th minute, Braunaldinho also setup a near miss and had one of his own that would have been a worthy candidate for Goal of the Week as Chivas USA defeated the Crew by a score of 3 - 1 at the Home Depot Center. more ›

Galaxy Recap: Ban the MLS Cup Final

Galaxy Recap: Ban the MLS Cup Final

Earlier this year, Major League Soccer announced the selection of the Home Depot Center to host its yearly MLS Cup final game to be held next month. Galaxy fans should petition MLS to stop giving us this honor, given that it apparently curses the blue-and-gold. The Galaxy have failed to reach the final on each of the three previous occassions in which L.A. has hosted the MLS Cup final game. more ›

LAst Night's Action: Dodger Offense Located

LAst Night's Action: Dodger Offense Located

LA Dodgers defeat San Diego Padres 11-1. The Dodgers continue to win against San Diego pitchers not named Peavy. For what seems like the first time this season, the Dodgers were able to consistently string hits together to get more than one run to score in an inning. Padres started Chris Young couldn't get ahead of any hitter, and Derek Lowe did what he does best: the sinker to induce ground outs retiring 20 of his last 21 hitters. Hopefully the Dodgers can get something going from this. more ›
