The Echo Park Curiosity Shop and Art Gallery announced today via their blog that they will be closing down for good. Ye Coach and Horses has been a staple in Hollywood for 74 years. Despite hopes to be able to pass the reins onto new ownership or to work things out with their landlord, the beloved bar's owner, 85-year-old Jane Grant, will shut the place down on November 15th.

The sushi restaurant that was exposed for selling endangered sei whale meat will be closing its doors today after 12 years of business in Santa Monica, according to MyFoxLA. The Bodhi Tree Bookstore is Closing
Since 1970, the Bodhi Tree Bookstore, a Melrose Avenue staple, has been an information center for spirituality-related information. But times have changed and the store which used to have a staff of 100 is preparing to close its doors in a years time, reports the LA Weekly. "Twenty years ago we felt like it was an expanding situation," said Co-Owner Stan Madson. "We were concerned the store was getting too big. We had a staff of 100. Publishing was expanding. Spirituality was expanding. But what changed was that the market became widely dispersed." Also closing in the very near future is the nearby Borders Bookstore on La Cienega.
So Long, Sportsmen's Lodge
Thursday marked the end of a 63-year-long road for Studio City's Sportsmen's Lodge. There was a much tears as beer flowing this New Year's Eve, as the Valley's longtime gathering place ushered in a gloomy 2009. The event drew more than 1,000 people, and, according to the Daily News "a 12-piece orchestra serenaded the crowd, which included former employees and restaurant regulars."
Tangier to Close This Weekend
After weeks of speculation, Tangier will shut its doors for the final time Saturday night. It is not known what will replace the restaurant/bar at 2138 Hillhurst, which is in escrow, according to the Daily Dish.
