More information has been released about yesterday's shooting in Canyon Country that took place outside a shopping center, reports L.A. Now. The suspects are four young teenagers, between the ages of 13 and 16. They allegedly arranged to meet a man outside a strip mall and buy a Nintendo DS from him, but when he got there, they attempted to rob him.

Two people were shot outside a Canyon Country shopping area this afternoon, reports NBC Los Angeles. The shooting took place just past 3:00 p.m. near Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway., and it's unclear what the motivation was. Both victims were taken to the hospital, and police say that four black males are the primary suspects.
SCV Math Teacher Busted For Selling Drugs in Craigslist Sting
A 29-year-old man employed as a high school math teacher in the William S. Hart School District in Santa Clarita was busted for selling drugs during a sting operation held this weekend, according to L.A. Now. Ashraf Boulos Hindi was taken into custody after providing an undercover Ventura County Sheriff's deputy with drugs at a Motel 6 in Camarillo.
3 New Fires: Rancho Palos Verdes, Santa Clarita, San Bernardino National Forest [Updated]
Three new fires broke out tonight, all in separate areas of the greater Los Angeles region.
The largest of the three is the Cottonwood Fire in the San Bernardino National Forest. Located between Hemet and Idyllwild, the 400-acre blaze that began at 5:13 p.m. is 5 percent contained, said Forest Service Fire Information Officer Norma Bailey. "Right now air support is down for the night, but hand crews and engines are on duty," she explained. A voluntary evacuation is in effect for the Bee Canyon area where about 12 homes are located.
18-Year-Old Girl Killed by Boyfriend in SCV, Politicians Move to Bring Back Domestic Violence Funding
Last month, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger eliminated full funding--a mere $16.3 million--for domestic violence programs in the state. Highlighting the need for such a program, an 18-year-old girl was killed in her bed in the Santa Clarita Valley last Sunday. Her boyfriend allegedly committed the murder inside the family trailer in the Canyon Country neighborhood. That was the third domestic violence death for the valley in a year's time.
Fire Blazes in Goleta
A wildfire erupted last night in Goleta, eight miles Northwest of Santa Barbara. It began in the Los Padres National Forest forcing mandatory evacuations of about 40 homes. Yesterday, a small fire was knocked down in the Canyon Country neighborhood of Santa Clarita and nearby in Agua Dulce, a truck caught fire on the Northbound 14 Freeway, but was quickly doused before it could spread to surrounding brush.
