Now the California Democratic Chairman John Burton has released a statement on Texas Governor Rick Perry’s California Fundraising Swing, and he says Perry is not what our state wants.

Villaraigosa Commends Obama for Extending Tax Cuts
LA's mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa, was among the 18 politicians who issued statements yesterday in support of President Barack Obama's decision to extend what are commonly referred to as the "Bush tax cuts," according to MyFoxLA. A number of other Democrats issued statements about Obama's decision, however they were in opposition, including one from California Democratic Party Chair John Burton, who called for his party members to "stand up to the political terrorism of the Republicans in the United States Senate."

hello guvner Over the weekend, the California Democratic Party made Phil Angelides their choice to run for Governor against Arnie. Angelides, who is State Treasurer, appears to be a solid liberal democrat. We just wish he didn't look so much like Ben Stein.
The Party Don't Stop?
With general consensus being that our own little local election is essentially over, LA went national this weekend with the California Democratic Party Convention. The biggest democratic star not named Clinton -- Party Chair Howard Dean -- was everywhere to mixed reviews. The Angelino tells us very little about what Arianna Huffington said but we do know this: democratic faithful find the left-leaning independent sexy.
