Arizona State Sun Devils defeat UCLA Bruins 74-67. UCLA couldn't get it done down the stretch which allowed the Sun Devils to sweep the season series. The Bruins fell behind by as much as 12 points in the first half before using their defense to tie the game by halftime. While the game was close throughout the second half with the Bruins maintaining a slight lead throughout, the Bruins just collapsed. Alfred Aboya got hit with a technical foul after making contact with the ball before Sun Devil Rihard Kuksiks inbounded the ball with the Bruins down by only two. Arizona State made both free throws and Jeff Pendergraph threw down a dunk to ice the game.

Now of course, it's important to remember that you might get these shows on DVD, and DVD residuals are an issue of debate in the strike, so you might not feel comfortable renting them. I’ve been thinking about the blog Tony Pierce posted a few days ago which was titled “Garret Anderson Doesn’t Care About Black People,” and although I didn’t initially want to respond to it, I feel that it’s necessary for me to do so. Let me start out by saying that I’ve received a handful comments on my posts that have basically implied that I don’t know what I’m talking about when I’ve expressed my opinions on the Angels, and I don’t respond to them for two reasons. The first is that I don’t see the point in getting into a pissing contest with people I’ve never even met before. The second reason I don’t respond is because I respect a person’s right to their opinion, and even if I don’t agree with them, I don’t think it’s my job to slam them for expressing it. With all that being said, I absolutely respect Tony’s opinion and he has a right to it, but when somebody writes what he wrote about a guy who I feel didn’t deserve to get thrown under a bus, I’ve gotta respond to it.
