Tonight In Rock: Primal Scream, Great Northern, MSTRKRFT, Nosaj Thing

Tonight legendary Scottish rockers Primal Scream will be performing at Club Nokia in Downtown with Brian Jonestown Massacre in tow. LA-based buzz band Great Northern are poised to rock the Silver Lake Lounge in anticipation of their forthcoming 2009 release, Remind Me Where The Light Is. And, lastly, local electronic mastermind Nosaj Thing will be gracing the Echoplex with his burly beats. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Roxy to ring in 2009's Fist of God, the sophomore release from Toronto-based electronic duo MSTRKRFT.

A couple of very cool local artists have an opening this weekend. You might recoginize his work from graffiti and stickers around Echo Park/Silver Lake as well as Spin Magazine, Vans shoes, the hallway at Little Joy and album covers for Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Get Up Kids, New Amsterdams, etc. You might recognize her work from album covers by the Silversun Pickups, Irving and/or hanging on the walls of the Mustard Seed in Los Feliz.

• Come and celebrate Spaceland's 10th anniversary with special guests The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Quarter After and The Clean Prophets at 9 PM.

Though dour and somber, Jeff Tweedy is still making music. You can see Wilco tonight when KCRW presents their live show at the Wiltern. The show starts at 8:00 PM.

For a grunge-y, retro-'90s evening, The Roxy is hosting Georgia alt-rockers Collective Soul with Driveblind at 9:00 PM. Doors open at 8:00 PM and tickets are $25.00.
