The remains of missing 17-year-old Anyssia Katherine Escamilla were found yesterday at a Corona landfill, according to LA Now. Escamilla was reported missing in May, but soon after her boyfriend, 18-year-old Jesus Avitia Jr., claimed he had killed her and put her body in the trash. Since his admission, "Avitia has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and is being held on $2-million bail." The remains were found after a 70-day search of area landfills. 26-year-old skateboarder and photographer Lee Grivas was found dead in his apartment by a neighbor in Hollywood on July 1. There were no signs of physical trauma and it appears to be from a heroin overdose. Applegate and Grivas dated on and off but his drug problem was a factor that often split them up. Right now, there is no official cause of death and is currently being ruled as an accident or suicide pending a the toxicology report. more ›
