I was talking college football the other day with a Boston College grad, which is always a fruitful experience because all they can talk about is Doug Flutie and Matt Ryan. I might have said that both their conference and the Big East were irrelevant playing awful football hurting his feelings in the process. I think what got him was when he asked me which ACC and Big East games I’ve seen this season I had no reply to him. Actually I did. It went more like, “I’d rather pull polyps from my ass than watch that garbage.”

College Football Madness!!!!!!
I apologize for the lack of football recaps, but I found it very hard to write about college football this season. With all the upsets it just seemed like not even the college players were all that passionate about playing the game. Look at the following lists and you’ll see what I mean. Worst (Long) Weekend In LA Sports History?
If you're a local sports fan, hopefully you had Columbus Day (International Day of Solidarity with Indigenous People, whatever) off to nurse a wicked hangover. While the...

What's Happening Around the Ist-World
How do we get an LA Mermaid Parade happening in Venice or somewhere? The one they've got rockin in Coney Island sure looks fun. Gothamist tells us that we can see more pictures at the Mermaid Parade Flickr Group and MermaidParade Flickr Tag. Warning, you might see some mermaids in their natural state if you know what i mean.
Bitten by the Beavers
The loss suddenly has Bruins fans freaked out that they won't be dancing when the NCAA Tournament Selection Committe draws up its brackets on Sunday.
