As good as the #18 Bruins (15-4) looked in their win agains cross-town rival USC, thats how bad they looked in the first half against #12 West Virginia (14-3). Down by as many as 20 points in the second half, the Bruins sucked up, bucked up, and finally D'd up before falling short 60-56. A furious second half rally that only fell short when in the last possession Mountaineer guard Mike Gansey stripped Jordan Farmar clean to kill the Bruin rally and seal the victory. more ›

Ready to Dance?

The win was enormous for UCLA. Going into the contest, UCLA had essentially one quality win-- a come-from-behind thriller over Washington early in the season. The Bruins desperately needed another big win, and thoroughly dominating a good Big East opponent on the road was the perfect elixir. The win also helped the entire Pac-10 conference. When the NCAA Tournament committee thinks about whether to take 5th Pac-10 team or a 6th or 7th Big East team, this game can serve as a decent barometer. more ›
