LA Dodgers defeat Cincinnati Reds 14-6. While Hiroki Kuroda has arguably been the Dodgers’ best starter early in the season, he wasn’t quite so sharp in his third start of the season. Fortunately the Dodgers offense continued to go on overdrive making up for the six runs Kuroda gave up. Rafael Furcal went 3-for-5 going a homer short of the cycle, while both Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp homered. The Dodgers scored at least one run in every inning except for the fourth inning when they were retired in order. Surprisingly enough the Dodgers bullpen pitched 3 1/3 innings without giving up a run - the two runs that scored when George Sherrill gave up the single to Orlando Cabrera were charged to Kuroda. The Dodgers defense was also shaky with two errors which gave the Reds three unearned runs.

Steelers Are on Top of the World
In the preview of the Super Bowl I wrote on Saturday, I predicted the worst. I thought the Arizona Cardinal defense would have no answers to the Pittsburgh Steelers defense, and the Steelers led by their inept offensive line would just bumble through the game. Fortunately for all the football fans and bystanders on Sunday my predicted score of 3-2 didn’t happen.
